[ you may notice the rather unpleasant smell of oil and gunpowder coming from one corner of the dressing room. in said corner, you will find a pistol-wielding Luke! and for once, he's doing the smart, responsible gun-wielder thing-- cleaning his weapon! feel free to pester him. ]

[ It's been a good long while since these two last met, not that Asch was purposely avoiding him or anything. Why would he do that~? The only reason he happened upon Luke this time was thanks to the strong smell wafting through the area he just happened to be passing through on his way to pick up a few things. ]

..you look busy.

[ Luke doesn't look up right at first, but he turns his head slightly in the direction of Asch ] ...if it's not well-kept it could backfire or get stuck and I could really hurt somebody. [ glances up and almost flinches at him ] ...Hey.

[ If he didn't have the wings, he could have probably have had a fairly normal conversation with Luke without it being awkward. ] I never expected to hear words like that coming from you. Or one of you, I should say. [ Luke's unease isn't entirely lost on him. ] Not who you thought I was, hmm?

[ grumbles a little. ] I'm not entirely careless, you know. A little reckless sometimes, sure... [ purses his lips ] Yes and no.

No, however, thinking things through has been a skill you lacked for a long time. [ smiles at his own comment. ] Oh?

[ oh you snarky bastard. he rolls his eyes a little, focusing his attention back on his Glock ] I'm not stupid, I knew it was one of you from the way you walk and the sound of your voice.

[ is there any other kind of Asch to be found? ] It was obviously not another of yourself, your feet make almost as much noise as your mouth. [ insults are an excellent way to hide one's discomfort. ]

[ not if they're IC! |Db ...and Asch, you're getting a rather baleful LOOK, here. ] If you only came by to be an ass, I'm sure there are other people you can bother. [ so is not looking at a person and trying to brush them off. ]

[ though his face has gone back to not revealing much in the way of emotion, his wings say otherwise with a pointed twitch. ] That was not my original intent, no. You simply made it too hard to resist.

[ tosses his head a little to get his hair out of his face (only for it to fall right back in his face, but that was beside the point), giving him an uninterested stare with the gun partly in his lap ] Then what, pray tell, was your intention?

[ Oh, Luke. Every last one of you. Stepping into Luke's personal space in order to help tuck some of the unruly hair behind his ear, Asch stares him down without blinking. ] To see who or what was the cause of that smell.

[ sbkgdvfhf why the affection. Luke makes a rather distinct sound, more than a little alarmed, and tries to lean away from the touch but doesn't quite succeed ] ...oil and gunpowder. It's not the nicest combination.

[ By this point the reason for the affection should be more than obvious. Still, he continues to stare for a while longer before moving away and smoothing his own hair back out of habit. ] I am well aware of what the smell was, Luke. Just not the source.

[ he lacks wings and boobies, though. he's still a little confused. ] ... [ shifts the gun in his hand a little ] Now you know.

[ Stupid replica. He isn't going to come right out and explain things. Certainly not when it comes to his feelings. ] So I do. ...have you been well? [ Asking about Luke's own Asch had crossed his mind, but that idea was quickly dismissed. Asch isn't a fool. ]

[ of course not. Asch is bad at expressing himself so he hits things instead. Luke is a little unsure of how to take his question, and frowns at him for a moment ] ...As well as I can be, I guess. [ and goes back to cleaning his pistol. ...lol innuendo. ]

[ True, true. This one has learned to direct his anger to things that generally won't suffer when faced with his wrath. Like walls. ..perhaps that question was not the best either, but Luke wasn't exactly giving him much to work with. ] Still in one piece, I see. Always a good thing. [ pffft. Innuendo that Asch will pointedly ignore in favor of sniffing the air again. Not that the smell bothered him. ] Have you been using that recently?

[ once the pistol is sufficiently cleaned to Luke's standards, he re-assembles the thing and spins it on one thumb before holding it firmly in his left hand and cocking it-- don't worry Engel, it's not loaded. he looks it over for a moment before replying ] ...I've not fired it, no.

[ Asch is sufficiently impressed with Luke ability to handle the weapon, even not having seen him pull the trigger once. And cautious as he is, Asch remains completely relaxed while the replica plays with his toy. --and he does know it isn't a toy. It never ceases to amuse him to see a Luke wielding something other than a sword. ] Then why the hesitation? [ You're like an open book, Luke, so easy to read and so entertaining. ]

[ gives him a sidelong look of general confusion ] ...hesitation?

[ Almost lets his lips quirk up into a smile. ] In answering my question. Shall I assume you want to use it?

[ scoffs derisively ] No. I don't even like carrying the thing.

My mistake, then. She must not have talked with you recently. [ He isn't sure whether or not to be pleased with thought. For a couple reasons. ]

[ he flinched. you probably saw that, Asch. ] ...Luke? [ focuses on the gun again ]

[ Oh did he ever. ] ... [ There isn't many other 'hers' that he would refer to, so a reply doesn't seem necessary. Not to mention he isn't sure what to say apart from yes. ]
