[This wasn't right, not at all. Asch had never actually been to the Radiation Gate before this, but he was pretty damn sure it wasn't supposed to look like this. Instead of the ancient structure he had been expecting, he now saw... a strange, large building, with a small village surrounding it. It didn't look like anything he had ever seen on Auldrant, but there was no other explanation for it. The Albiore was nowhere to be seen, though; there's no way it could have been flown away so quickly, and Asch knew (hoped) that he wouldn't be left alone like that...

And so he set off, investigating this strange new location, looking even angrier than usual. He would very much like to get out of here, or at least get an explanation, so any help would be greatly appreciated.]

(ooc; just to warn you, this asch is au, but that's all i'll say about that for now. also, this is my first time playing a canon-ish asch, so let me know how i'm doing!)

[ And here Luke thought Asch would've really had to work at it in order to look more surly than he always did, but in fact it seemed pretty damn natural for him. That's okay. Replicas were never one to be deterred by grumpy face! ]

... [ However Luke is fairly cautious and sticks to following him around for now. ]

[He notices that he's being followed, but ignores it at first to instead explore a bit more. He soon gets tired of ignoring her, though, and suddenly stops where he is. His hand goes to his sword, prepared but not yet drawing it, as he turns slightly in the direction he hears her from. He stays silent for now, though, waiting to identify his stalker before speaking.]

[ Given how all her past attempts have gone she kind of figured her presence would be more than obvious to him. The sudden halt is all too familiar as well, and with well practiced precision she sidesteps to half hide behind a building as he turns to face her. ]

Looking for something in particular?

[Once he spots her he gets even angrier, completely ignoring the question in favor of his own.]

What the hell are you doing here?! You're supposed to be at the Absorption Gate, dreck!

[ He gets a sigh and something of a bored look as a response. ]

Careful there. You're going to bust something if you're always yelling like that.

We don't have time for this, you have to stop him. You weren't supposed to follow us!

[He notices the length of her hair as he calms down slightly, though he's still angry enough to not care.]

[ Comfortable that he's not going to try attacking right off the bat, she edges out into the open. ]

Actually, I have all the time in the world. But that doesn't matter too much right now.

No, you have to stop Master Van, you know that! [He's getting angrier again, but he removes his hand from his sword, just yelling at her and not attacking.]

I already did that, Asch! You've got the wrong replica! [ Wait a minute. Curious, she moves closer towards him, head tilted to the side. ]

Since when did you call him "master"?

[His eyes narrow as she moves closer, watching her carefully.]

I only have one replica. [He doesn't answer her question, instead waiting for her response.]

That's true, but I'm not your replica. [ Seeing his unease, she stops well out of striking distance of him and smiles. ]

That's not possible... You look just like him.

Except for the hair.

Sure it is. Anything is possible here, just about.

And I'm not a him.

[Just stares. His eyes flick towards her eyebrow piercing, and he looks a bit confused by it as he takes a careful step closer.]

[ So long as he isn't acting hostile she remains still aside from resting a hand on her hip. Asches are so hard to convince. ]

...Why do you have that? [Points at the piercing]

Several reasons, with curiosity being at the top.

...hm.

[He takes another look around before returning his gaze to her, finally calm.]

What is this place?

[ Luke herself relaxes, giving the surrounding area a fond glance. ]

Kind of a vacation spot for some, a hell to others. You'll be seeing a lot of us both while you're here.

Why am I here? I'm supposed to be helping him.

That's something I can't tell you. There doesn't seem to be a reason for who does or doesn't show up, or for what happens.

And there's no way out.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way you should make the most of it.

...That's easy for you to say. You said you've already defeated him.

Which means I have a fair idea of how things are going to turn out. Watch your step and everything should be fine.
