[ He spends a few more minutes of fruitless searching, he huffs and flops on to the floor. ] Mieuuu... Master...

[ A weekly restocking trip had brought Luke out of the house he'd been keeping up, and an echoing voice drew his attention from the storeroom to a hall. Arms heavy with various necessities such as food, he stops upon spotting a small blue critter seated in middle of the floor.

It couldn't be.

Thing?!

mieu is on the go to find his master!

[mieufire]

[ Mieu hops up, ears twitching when he hears his named. ] Master...? [ Luke comes into sight and Mieu races over to him. ] Master!

[Amnesia!Van is going to be approaching you~]

[ It really is the little bugger! Luke can't help feeling relief that nothing has happened to the cheagle. ]

What are you doing here?

[ Okay, stupid question when nobody ends up here of their own free will. But knowing Mieu, he went and got himself lost for the sole purpose of being with Luke. ]

I was looking for you, Master! [ Right on the money there, Luke. ] Mieu, I'm so glad you're okay!

[mieufire]

[ Mieu's ears perk up and he looks to where the voice is coming from. When he sees Van he puffs up, much like a cat would. ] You're the bad man who made Master sad!

[...And he still doesn't remember what he's done, exactly.]

...I apologize for that.

[mieufire]

[ Mieu hisses. ] Go apologise to Master! You made him sad and then everyone left!

...And who is your master, exactly?

[mieufire]

Luke is!

Yeah, yeah. Good to see you haven't gotten yourself eaten, I guess.

[ He's still going to snatch Mieu up by the noggin to hold him with both hands. Not that he's checking the annoying thing for injuries, nope. ]

What'd you do with the others?

[glorious]

"Luke", hrm...Very well, I'll speak with him.

And, forgive me, but I don't believe I've ever gotten your name.

[mieufire]

Mieu... They still haven't come back.

[mieufire]

I'm Mieu! [ He hops up and down. His fur is no longer puffed out; Van's promise of apologising to Luke has calmed him greatly. ] I'm looking for my master. You're his master, right?

[glorious]

...Yes, actually. I am. Though I'm afraid I haven't seen him recently.

[mixolydianmode]

You can't say they haven't come back when you're the one who wandered away from them!

[ Because that's totally what he thinks must have happened. ]

[mieufire]

Mieuuuuu. [ His ears flop down. ] I only wandered away for a little...

[mieufire]

No, Master-- [ Mieu blinks. ] ...Did they come back when I left? Mieu?

[glorious]

[After a moment, he moves to pick the tiny cheagle up.]

I'm sure you'll be able to find him again. We can look together, if you'd like.

Huh? What're you talking about? Nobody's gone anywhere but you!

But-- [ Mieu tilts his head to the side. ] Mieuuu. I'm confused.

[mixolydianmode]

You aren't doing much for me, either!

[ It doesn't make any sense! Unless... ]

Aw man, don't tell me you're from a different time, too.

[mieufire]

[ Mieu curls up in Van's arms. ] Let's go!

[mieufire]

[Van chuckles softly and begins walking.]
