I wasn't afraid. I understood what is was you needed and why. ...not everyone is capable of viewing things the same way as others. If they could, people wouldn't be hurt so much.

No.. not everyone. The Luke you knew wasn't. Cecil wasn't. You were trapped in a horrible place where only the worst kind of people would work. It's no wonder you didn't get to meet many decent ones.

*notices the wings appearing and loosens his hold.* ....I'll keep you safe from them. I won't let anyone hurt you.

*quirks an eyebrow at the grin.* Then I'll have to work hard.
