[follow the trail of blood to a new Asch. follow and realize this Asch is probably very close to death. he's beaten up, his limbs hanging awkwardly, and his breathing sounds odd. he's whispering something, but it's pretty garbled given his mouth is swollen and he seems to be missing a few teeth]

[closes his eyes] Going to find me...

He's not here.

[eyes snap open] Mother.

[frowns, more worried now] Did something happen to her?

He's going to go after her. I-

...

[tries to get up, completely unable to]

Damnit, Asch, would you stop?! What the hell do you think you'll be able to do like this?!

Need to- can't let him- Mother-

Need to what? Go get yourself killed? Who the hell will you help by doing that? You can't save her if you're dead, you idiot!

I need to kill him... [trails off, collapsing]

[holds him, concerned] You can't move right now...

[panting, shaking slightly]

Just stay still. If you keep moving, anything I do to help won't really matter.

Not until you're at least stable.

[opens his mouth to complain about this, then proceeds to cough up more blood]

[and Luke is back to healing]

[just rests, unwilling but too weak to get back up]

[isn't going to stop until he's pretty sure that Asch is okay-ish... even if it means he's getting really weak himself]

[breathing starting becoming even, relaxing]

[manages a small smile, shaking some as he adds a strengthening arte to hopefully help him along more]

[asleep, coughing slightly]
