[follow the trail of blood to a new Asch. follow and realize this Asch is probably very close to death. he's beaten up, his limbs hanging awkwardly, and his breathing sounds odd. he's whispering something, but it's pretty garbled given his mouth is swollen and he seems to be missing a few teeth]

[Straightens himself up seriously] I promise you, I have no intention of ending your life.

[glaring, watching him warily]

This is the first time we've met. You have nothing to do with my past and I have no grudges against you. [Or maybe this Asch didn't know that yet?]

Anyways, you're still covered in blood. Would you like a change of clothing? [Well, Guy was covered in it now too, but he'd get to that later...]

[starts to get up, then crumples back down, weak and wracked with pain]

(Stubborn as always...) You're only going to hurt yourself like that. Just wait until you heal a little more before you try anything, but I'm not going to let you go off on your own when you can't even take care of yourself. [Motherly Guy at work. You can't oppose him now]

[coughs, curling up in pain] Away.

A-Asch! [Comes to his side, but he's unsure how to restrain him without hurting his still damaged figure] I don't want to force you here, but at least reconsider. Do you even know where you are?

[Big sigh] Stop pushing yourself. Just tell me what you need.

I need to get away. I need to kill him. I- [bolts up] Mother!

[Braces his shoulders to prevent further movement] Asch, calm down! What are you talking about?!

Van isn't here. If you were in Auldrant before now, there's nothing you can do about it now.

[Stern but not entirely unyielding] Will you calm down if I do?

[shifts, trying to punch him]

[Well shit, Guy has to let go to dodge that, even if it wasn't the original's full power] Asch, what the hell do you think you can accomplish in that condition?!

[obviously not much, because he's badly winded at that movement]

[Sighs and scratches at the back of his head. He knew this was going to be difficult, but he's not going to give up now] If you really want to leave, you're at least going to have to relax and let your body rest a little. You're killing yourself like this.

[He's reluctant to touch Asch this time around, if just to avoid the original inflicting pain on himself; but he doesn't know how to aid him otherwise]

Can't let... him... Mother... [panting, shaking]

Damn it, Asch, you need to calm down!

I got away. He'll go after her, revenge for trying to kill him. I have-

[Guy still doesn't know where this Asch is from or if he's even been in this world long... But if Van was alive in his world, it meant he was in a timeline before the blonde's]

Van wouldn't try to kill your mother, Asch! It would blow his cover and ruin his plans.

[Sighs once more] Well just because you know doesn't mean the rest of the world does. Van wouldn't bring attention to himself by openly hurting a member of the Kimlascan Royal family. But [shrugs] it's not like I know the situation in your world, so lay off a bit, will ya?
