It's a piece of uh..."Fontech" that allows you to send people messages, no matter how far they are. [Sits on the floor and opens the laptop up, motioning the kid to sit next to him.]

C-Can I play with it? I wanna say hi to Mary!

Mm...I don't think you know English, do you? Just tell me what you want to tell your family and I'll write it for you. [And opens a mailing program; even if he's basically tricking the kid, it's better than having him upset.]

[Sits next to him] Um... tell Mother that I'm stuck in a weird place! And I'm with Uncle Guy! And... And tell Mary I said 'hi' and ask her what English is...?

[Types as he's told, quickly and with a bit of an amused face] So you've found someone to stay with already?

Uh huh! Uncle Guy! He's my uncle...

That's good, I guess. I was beginning to think of taking you with me if you didn't have anyone, I don't think it's safe for a kid to be alone.

Oh... But I can go to your house and play with you! ...Right?

Ah, right...you can, as soon as I find myself a good house or a room to live in.

Not yet...I've been kinda sleeping anywhere, in random rooms away from this place.
