There are a lot of "gifts" we don't ask for.

People are always trying to attack him due to those wings. I can't see how they're a gift.

I do not know if I am blessed or cursed, but I have a goal I wish to complete, and I suppose I don't care anymore about blessings and curses if it means accomplishing it.
