[rubs his back some]

[snuggles, being careful of the kitten]

[runs his fingers through the kid's hair]

[nuzzles his hand] ...I still have a present for you...

... [siiigh] Alright.

I think you'll really like it. It's at home, though...

... [picks him up, then]

[clings with his available hand, still holding the kitten with the other]

[carries him home]

[snuggles the whole way, after putting the kitten back in his pocket]

[sets him down once they're inside, patting the top of his head]

[smiles at him before turning to run up to his room]

[watches him go with a bemused smile]

[quickly comes back with a wrapped present]

[just watching him for now]

[comes close and hugs him tight]

[hugs him back]

...Do you want it now?

Ah... Sure.

Okay. [pulls away slightly and holds it out to him]

[takes it and opens it up]

[watches quietly while he does; inside is a nice journal and some pens]
