[ Yeah, even Luke isn't dense enough to not notice that part. ]

[He's just going to fix something quick. Stir fry with chicken sounded good to him right now...course, reaching for stuff is another thing.]

Hey, can you get me a frying pan from there? [pointing to a cabinet definitely too high up for a kid to reach.]

[ chicken. Luke approves, though he doesn't know it yet. ] Huh? Oh- sure. [ this kid knowing where their pans and such are is really making Luke want to ask Asch something. but he just takes down the frying pan and hands it to him, watching silently. ]

Thanks. [ingredients, are thankfully within his reach at least and he gets to making stir fry.]

You're welcome. [ pulls up a chair, sitting on it backwards to watch. ]

[just keeps on cooking, until the stir fry was finally done.] Can you get a plate or two? There's enough for you.

[ nods as he hops up to grabs a couple plates and knives. ] Sure.. Asch.

...[takes the plates and knives, putting them on the counter]... [unattentive of where the hot pan was, he ends up touching where he shouldn't] Ah! [jerks his hand back, quickly grabbing the handle before all the food fell out.]

H-hey! [ takes the pan from him, holding it up and out of the way as he looks at where Asch was burned. ] I..idiot! Be careful!

D-..don't call me that! [hisses. His right index and middle finger were stinging. He moves to the sink to douse them in cold water]

Then be more careful! [ makes sure the stove is off and then hurries to pull out the first-aid kit. only he's not sure what is used to treat burns. ]

That won't be necessary. [seeing him take out the first aid.] It's nothing serious.

But you burned yourself! [ ignores him, still digging through the supplies. ]

I said, it's nothing serious! It'll heal on its own.

..tch. [ hugs the first-aid kit, watching him. ]

...[turns off the faucet] It's not a serious burn, all right?

..'kay. [ puts the kit away and starts to dish them both some food. ]

...Luke, I'm fine.

...you gonna be able to eat with your hand like that?

...I'll manage.

...'kay. You don't have to act tough if it hurts, ya know.

I've dealt with worser injuries then this. This just stings a little.

Ready to eat, then?

...[Carefully, he gets two forks for them to use and takes a seat at the table]

[ brings the pan over and dishes out a fair amount of food for each of them before sitting opposite of Asch. ]
