It's just a cold or allergies. I'm fine.

It happens. *has to take a sip of tea after her voice strangles on the last word* Not often, but it does.

Sucks the most that my voice is gone, though.

Also can't hit those pretty high notes.

*starts coughing, nice wet ones that sound like she's horking up half the mucous membrane in her lungs*

... [ circles around behind her and idly braids the ends of her hair ]

[ neglects the braid and moves his hands up to massage at her scalp instead ]
