You know, this place is more obnoxious than a New York subway station some days. Nothin' but people with things they shouldn't have. Cripes. [ this would be Luke, playing bartender. he's irritated, but feel free to come by and ask him to make you something! ]

[ blinks ] ...I do, actually. [ extracts a glass from somewhere below him and a little half-gallon thing of milk from a minifridge-- I don't know where he got all this crap. pours him a glass and slides it toward him ]

[And he drinks. He's observing the red head carefully.]

Having a bad day?

No problem. [ shrugs lightly ] Just irritated with the inhuman part of the population.

[Ion smirks slightly when Luke isn't looking. In a curious tone.]

Inhuman? I have no idea. Are they dangerous?

Obnoxious at best. Nothing a few laced bullets can't take care of, they're just annoying and I loathe their entitlement complexes.

Hm. That sounds complicated. They seem to have unfortunate needs.

They suck people's blood, and assault largely defenseless girls. They're unforgivable, and should be destroyed or turned mortal. Possibly a combination of both. [ pours himself a conglomeration of various liquors and mixers and sips at the concoction idly ]

[Just idly sucks his milk through a straw. In a dry voice.]

They don't sound very civilized.

[ scoffs ] Not hardly. ... [ frowns upon realizing who he's talking to, and adopts a less callous mood ] I mean, if they'd not done anything to piss me off I'd have left them well enough alone, but one of them attacked somebody close to me and that's ...not cool.

Have you told them you don't like what they had done?

Myself personally? No. But I know for certain others have. There's one girl that was one and isn't anymore-- she didn't like being that way. I think that in and of itself says something.

[Ion just nods and finds this conversation slightly interesting.]

Anyway I can repay you for the milk?

[ waves a hand dismissively ] You're the Fon Master, you've done enough. 'Sides, I don't drink it, and aside from this it's just going into booze.

[He smiles. This Luke isn't so bad...]

Thanks again...but you do know that alcohol is a depressant, right?

[ laughs softly ] No problem. And I do; if nothing else it helps calm me down when I'm pissed off for things I really ought to keep out of.

Perhaps, you should give yourself some space. I did that when a person close to me did something that she shouldn't have done...but she did and she let me down.

[ frowns a little. that sounds a little off, for Ion ] ...possibly. You mind if I ask who?

...Would that be Arietta, or Anise? [ that could very easily be a loaded question. ]

Arietta. [Now, can Luke tell from that single fact that this Ion...]

[ narrows his eyes slightly. he has an idea. ] ...Kind of random, but what happened last in Auldrant for you? [ answer carefully if you don't want to be found out, Ion. ...not that it's a bad thing, Luke would be kind of intrigued. ]

[Ion smiles at that and in a polite tone.]

Maybe another time, perhaps?

[ smiles oddly ] Sure thing.

[Nods.]

[And takes his leave.]
