There is certainly a wealth of knowledge I've still yet to understand, but that seems like something that is important enough to have been mentioned at least once... And it's such an unusual word, fonon... I'd like to think I'd have remembered it.

You world must be very strange without fonons. I can't imagine that there would be much technological advancement without them.
