[Ion is sitting down on a park bench, munching on a few chocolate pieces from a big box on his lap. Usually he wandered about in the wilderness for training, but today he's resting and he is hoping that by being in town for today, he might meet someone interesting to cure his boredom.

He stared at a large group of stupid looking pigeons before him and he is contemplating on blowing them up...]

[Sync continues going through his eventually putting it down.] These things… these creatures in this book. I’ve never seen them before in my life.

[He now looks at Ion’s book.] What are you looking?

Hmm? [Matter of fact tone and he smiles.] Oh, Books about illness of the mind.

Hm. [He puts his own book down.] This library has many books, but not a single one about this place.

That I see. Perhaps this entire place is a mystery.

[Picks up another book which seems to be about erotic literature.]

I can't even find a map. [He begins to stack the books up.]

Maybe we should draw a map.

[He begins to read it. Not an innocent mind there, but he's calm about it.]

It may be of use. Although I keep hearing this place changes quickly, if that is true then that may be a reason there is no map. I would assume we wouldn't be the first to attempt to draw one.

[Sync is still stacking books up, he'll probably knock them down once he thinks the stack is high enough.]

[Ion switched to another book because he's bored quickly.

He perks up when Sync mentioned the word change. So this place changes as well as the other one...]

I see...what if we make a hobby of recording those changes?

Hm. [He actually thinks thats a good idea.]

Do you think there is a pattern to the way things change?

[He adds one last book to his stack. Its high enough that he has been standing on his chair for quite some time now.]

I haven't been here for long, but I think we should.

[Ion notices that. Sync really has good balance and motor skills.]

However, I don't think I should go alone. I don't know the dangers of this land and it's residents.

No more books. [At least not near enough for him to reach from where he stood.]

Anyway, what do you mean go alone? I'll be going to... and believe me the land is probably more dangerous here than the idiots inhabiting it.

Hmm...oh, that's right. I'm used to wandering alone. I haven't have a Fon Guardian for the last...[Pretends to think.] for the last month. Even though I think I'm quite strong now...who knows what will happen to me...

Why not? Who makes the rules here? Perhaps, it's time for a change and break the old rules of tradition.

And it's only temporary until Arietta or Anise shows up by chance.

If you want one of those that bad why not look for one. [He means an Arietta or an Anise.] Though get an Arietta. I'm already use to her uselessness. I can't deal having that twerp Anise around.

[Look at that face. It's seems to be saying, "You're going to say no to me?"]

[Even if his position standing on the chair is higher he gets a strange feeling from Ion. He turns to look at his stack of books.]

I will not serve you in that manner. Get someone else if that is what you want.

[Gets up and smooths out his robes.]

I can tell I'm not wanted.
