[Saphir is outside of his house and he has a remote control in his hands. With the remote he controls a little moving object which is a simple, crudely designed mobile fonbot on the road. It made whirling noises as it struggles to move in loops and straight lines as it runs.]

Oh my god, it works. I must be a genius!

Playing with your toys again, Dist?

[And the fonbot stops. Saphir is so used to talking to himself alone. How sad. :<]

Huh?

[Saphir looks up.]

Oh hello. Do I know you?

[ Sad in so many ways. Asch gives him an incredulous look. ]

...don't you?

[Shook his head.]

No...I don't know anyone. Not even myself. Don't laugh at me, okay? I have amnesia.

Amnesia? You? [ His lips quirk into something halfway between a smile and a smirk. That could be better for everyone, Dist himself included. ]

[Nods. Smiling, rather sheepishly and happily.]

Yes, and I'm working on a few projects on my own. Hopefully that would bring my memories back.

So far, this is the first fonbot that I can managed to make it work.

[And offers him the remote control. He's not selfish.]

Wanna play with it?

[ You'll have to excuse Asch. 'Dist' being polite and not cackling about Jade or Nebilim is something he isn't used to. He dismisses the offer with a slight wave of his hand. ]

You're on the right track. And you go ahead, you appear to be enjoying yourself.

[Dist blinks. Awww...no play?]

Really? Thank you. That's what Jade said to me the other day...and Van too. This toy had taken me about two weeks to put it together.

Anyways, what do you know about me?

[ Asch does not play, thank you. Or if he does, those who he plays with know better than to talk about it. ]

Two weeks, hmm? You will have to keep working if you wish to get back to the level you used to be.

About you? You're egotistical, obsessive, and as tenacious as a cockroach.

[Surprisingly, Saphir is a little to dense to see those as insults. Rather, he takes it as very good hints to who he really was in the past.]

[ Oh Saphir, you silly creature. By this point Asch is only mildly flabbergasted by his reaction. ]

That they may be, but they are hardy creatures. Though not smart.

And I'm not tenacious! I'm determined! I'm motivated! I'm a scientist!

[Saphir sound like a child when he's saying all of that.]

[ It's almost worse than listening to his replica whine. ...scratch that. It IS worse. ]

All of those, save for being a scientist, are the same thing. [ Narrows his eyes at him, small silver wings on his back flicking in irritation. ]

[Poor Saphir, he needs a bigger vocabulary list.

He frowns and rambles off with a smile. He's in a good mood because he completed one fonbot.]

Hmph! I'll just have to prove more of my scientific genius! Uh-hmmm~! That I will! That's why you're unimpressed.

[ If he keeps it up, Asch may decide to nail him with a dictionary or such. ]

... [ For a moment Asch considers correcting Saphir on the reason why he's unimpressed, but as that would give him more to ramble on about, he decides against it. ] Do you know how it is you came to lose your memory?

[Finally, with some intelligence.]

Months ago, one Jade took a good look at me and theorized it's a huge fonic blast that hit my head.

With your insistence on throwing yourself at Luke's little band, it comes as no surprise that one of them, Jade himself most likely, would get you where it counts.

[Too bad Saphir can't sense that Asch is being mean to him.]

I think I'm throwing myself at Jade and not at Luke's band...

I didn't know Luke's group is into music. [Saphir misunderstood Asch's meaning of the word band. /shot]

[ Poor, poor Saphir. He gets hurt less this way, though. ]

... [ To Rending Saber him or not to Rending Saber him? ..nah. Waste of TP. ] Band as in a group of people, Dist. Not those who make music. And Jade typically travels with Luke.

[He's gonna scar him for life if Asch did that. :(]

[ Good thing this Asch is slightly less temperamental than others. 8| ]

Ah...is that Jade a Colonel?

Oh...the Jade (http://community.livejournal.com/abyssdressing/tag/ariseinthename) that I'm close with [Or so this Saphir thinks!] is a God General. But he says in his world, Saphir is a colonel.

So I'm not sure if I'm a God General or not, but I think being a God General is cooler.

There is a Necromancer out there who is a God-General? ...interesting.

[ That's one he's never heard about before. Not that he gets out much. ] The version of you I am familiar with is also a God-General, like myself.

Yeah, but I don't know much about him other than he protects the Fon Master very well.

He doesn't get out much, but I do! I travel around to gather scrap for my projects.

I would have been more surprised if you did know anything in-depth about him. People do not generally vary that much from the ones we are familiar with.

Aside from this.. toy, have you made much else?

Ah...this is the first one I made in...[Counts on his fingers. His white gloves are dirty from oil and grease.] In four months.

Not the work pace I would expect from one of your caliber.

Ahh...that because I had injuries in the first months and my memories are returning slowly. I'm just taking my time.

Hmm. [ Nods. ] Whoever it was that blasted you in the head must have done a number to you.

Yes, I guess so. Must be a very hard blast too.

[And he resumes playing with his new toy once more.]

[Saphir looks down where kitty sits close by and he smiled gently at him.]

Well, hello! Yes, I made it and it works. I consider this a sign of good luck despite my amnesia.

[Saphir bends his knees to lower himself to Jade's level and offers him the remote control.]

Do you want to play with it?

[Saphir smiled cheerfully.]

[And just explained briefly on the function of the simple controls and then laid the remote in front of him.]

[Just sits back and watches him play with the controls.]
