*if there's a great pro to being a mute, one would be that one could... say, sneak up on unsuspecting robins out in the field and perhaps sketch them. which is exactly what Luke is doing, at the moment, laying on his stomach, pencil in hand and sketchbook laid out in front of him.*

[stumbles to his feet]

*holds him up*

["Somewhere darker."]

*nods, now leading him inside*

[stumbling in, eyes closed]

*stops walking so Asch can regain his balance*

[shakes his head. "I just can't see. Slowly."]

*nods, and leads him, a lot more slowly than before*

[manages to keep his balance for this, eyes shut]

*takes Asch to his own room, and gently lays him on the bed*

[rubbing his eyes, reaching for him]

*moves to close the curtains before sitting down on the edge of the bed*

[reaches out, touching his shoulder]

*touches his hand gently*

["Thank you."]

*nods, smiling slightly*

[slowly opens his eyes, being so red it looks like a blood vessel may have burst]

"Try to get some sleep."

["I'm not sleepy."]

"Try? Please?"

["I want to know more about vampires. An Ion told me that they can't go on holy ground. I didn't know that."]

"And you'll have more time to think about that after you've gone to sleep."

[looks a little uncomfortable. "Luke, can I have a drink first?" rubs his eyes, still tearing up slightly]
