[ From one of the many hallways comes the sound of a hollow object smacking into something. Repeatedly. Turns out Asch is strolling along, bouncing a ping pong ball off his forehead, of all things, looking more than a little agitated with something or someone. ]

They are of a suitable size for someone living on their own, though some are smaller than others.

...I apologize. I wasn't aware she was no longer with you.

[gives him a weird look] She's dead, not gone. Geez. She died when I was ten... but geez, if she decided to pop into my room when I had Asch or Tear in there... she likes Tear, but augh, she already gave me an earful about proper behavior at home when she caught me making out with her. And Tear doesn't believe in ghosts.

.... [ He's returning that weird look. ] So you are still able to speak with her. You had mentioned ghosts previously, but I did not realize it encompassed people you knew and not just monsters.

... not as often as I'd like. And she can't touch me or... but sometimes she's there.

That is better than the alternative. Sightings of her here are few and far between.

... some ghosts are... just confused. They go around just... confused, thinking they're still alive. Some want to help... and I think Mother's going to be gone soon. It doesn't hurt as much now to know she's dead and that's usually when... the ones that hate people aren't most ghosts. But they concentrate into areas that make you think they are.

Your world has its own share of troubles, it would seem. Along with you. Though you appear to handle things much better than the two Lukes I am well acquainted with.

I'll be a mess when she moves on... but... I've seen ghosts my whole life. And it's been seven years since she passed on.
