[A not so new face to the city but certainly a new occupant. Have a oddly Victorian looking Luke walking in confusion through the streets. Could be because he was expecting to step out into the court of the castle and not into the middle of a city! Still this was nothing like the streets of London at all. This place... it looked unreal. The most astounding to him was the industrial touches... basically electricity! What magic was this? Taking the cross bow off his belt he starts to load it before letting out a frustrated growl when the trigger slips and the arrow stabs into the ground.]

Oh, bugger all! You were supposed to fix this bloody trigger, Guy.

[He mutters in a distinct English accent and tries loading the cross bow once more.]

[Shifts on the bed.] Hm... Powers, sleeps for months, kindly to Lukes and slightly resistant to the sun. curious creature.

[ Frowns at being analyzed by a mere human. ] My kindness towards you is a debt of gratitude for saving me. Nothing more.

Hm... [Smiles faintly and rolls onto his side. Blankets bunching up under his chin as he balls them in his fist.] No, need to get touchy. Kindness isn't a weakness... kept me from being killed tonight.

...it can be, in the wrong situation. [ Though he had a point; it was a remarkably insightful statement coming from one who shared faces with his own naive redhead. He catches the other's movements out of the corner of his eye and tosses more fuel on the fire. It would get chillier as the night came. ] Like everything else it has it place and purpose.

[Damn right it was. The dreck can have a few of his own when he wants! ~~or accidentally stumbles across them.~~ Grins into the blanket bunched against his mouth when Asch starts putting more fabric into the fire for him.]

[ That's a refreshing shock! Who knew the hardheaded idiot had it in him. Hums quietly in acknowledgment of the thanks, and reaches up to pat the human. ]

Rest, so you might search for yours come morning.

[Sighs softly when he's pet. He'd allow it... this once!]

...I see no reason to. He's been gone far too long. It's time for me to establish myself.

What good will my worry do? If he has been on his own all this time, he's likely to have starved himself to death.

No, he chooses not to. Even when given a live animal which to feed from, he's reluctant to do so.

Why? It's just an animal. Even humans eat those. [Never really cared much for them himself. Closest thing he's had to a pet was Asch.]

I believe it has to do with him being a half-breed. Or as penance for those he killed as a child.

[As a child? What possible harm could a mere child do? The confused expression may of given away the question running through his head.]

[ As does the hollow rattling sound of the gears of his mind. Strums his fingers on the bed. ] Though he was half-human, he still possessed strong psychic powers. He went through a great many maids with all his tantrums.

[Watches the clawed fingers drift over the sheets and sticks a hand out to brush his fingers over the back of Asch's hands to see if he was still cold.] Psychic powers...?

[ Cold as ever; not that he seems bothered by it. On the contrary, he gives the human a curious glance at being the one to initiate physical contact for a change. ] My kind tend to have abilities that humans considered 'supernatural'. That is how we've managed to survive their technology.

[Rest his hand over the vampire's letting his warm up a little under his palm. It wasn't much but the contact felt nice and familiar. It's been a long time since he's spent a night without his Asch by his side.]

What is your power? Fire starter?

[ His hand twitches beneath the human's warm one as his gaze settles upon them. What odd behavior. None of the others had acted this way around him; without fear or hatred. Yet the questions earn a scoff. ]

That is nothing but a parlor trick I picked up.

[Not an ounce of fear or hatred was coming from this one. At most there was annoyance from the vampire's mockery but even that seems to have passed.]

Oh? Not going to take my question as an offer to show off then?

[ Given that he's used to dealing with Asch, the teasing and sometimes cruel words shouldn't be too unusual. ]

A waste of energy, unless you are eager to feed me again later.

[Not at all! Brushes his thumb over the back of Asch's hand before withdrawing quickly at his words and forming a small blush. Wouldn't mind if he had enough blood for it... Really needed to stop liking those bites so much.]

[ Everything you feel, everything you think is so clear, human! Most were like this; not bothering to hide their vulnerabilities. It makes him laugh as he reaches up to drag his claws over Luke's cheek. ]

Remember, child, I am not the vampire you know.

[Narrows his eyes at that and pulls his face away.]

I know fully well that you're not my Asch.
