[A certain fraccion is sitting out by his lonesome, looking rather depressed as he twirled a scalpel between his fingers, before throwing it into the dirt as hard as he could with a faint growl. Of course, him throwing something as hard as he could meant that the scalpel buried itself almost entirely. Another faint sigh escaped from him; he supposed he should pull it back out before one of the children around encountered it, but he didn't have the heart for it.]

[He could use a hug... or a specimen to play with. Either one.]

Lay down. [Insert a, "how dare you disobey doctor's orders" look here.] When a needle is inserted, this machine will generate what is supposed to be your fonon frequency. If the sound generated is harmonious with the sound from the machine, you should be fine. If not, then we need to find your replica.

I prefer to be known as a brilliant scientific creation.

[pulling out one of the needles, which is attached to a long cord with some strange filament inside, and sticking it in your arm none too nicely for that comment.]

You aren't a brilliant anything, you're just a crazy monster. And I am not one of your experiments! [glares at him when the needle is inserted]

[He went behind the machine, turning a few dials and flipping a few switches, before...]

...oh, by the way, this will be extremely painful.

[...flipping the on switch.]

[Asch was about to say something when Luke flipped the switch, but instead he bites down hard on his lip and clenches his eyes shut tight.]

[You had it coming brat. He leaves it on a little longer than he probably should -- serves him right -- before shutting it off.]

There we are...

[Asch stays silent, even after it's been turned off. He doesn't move, either, not wanting to anger Luke any more at this point. Instead, he just waits until the other says something to him.]

[Luke is quiet for a long moment, almost expecting a snide Asch comment. When it doesn't come, he presses a few more buttons, before letting out a faint sigh.]

There is some deterioration, I suspect from when you and your replica were together before.

...Is that bad?

To be honest, I didn't expect you to be in perfect condition, but it's not exactly... completely worrisome.

Do you have any idea the amount of pain that went into my creation? Sometimes you have to suffer to feel better.

There are people who get horrible diseases every day. Cancer, broken limbs, other problems that require medication or treatment that is just as painful as what they are suffering from in order to get a small modicum of relief. Consider yourself fortunate that this, so far, has only been a small bit of pain.

[grabs the machine to wheel it back out of the room, before he pauses.]

[Rolls the machine back into the other room; you're dismissed, ~~specimen~~ patient.]

[Pulls his clothes back on after Luke leaves, although he makes no move to leave himself, yet.]

[Comes back out after a few minutes, clearly surprised to see him still there.]
