[ Remaining idle has never been one of Asch's strong points at any time in his life, so it should come as no surprise that he would find a way to spend his spare time doing something productive. As of late you might have seen the winged original bustling about hither and tither, to and fro, and even yonder as he transported -- among other things -- a great many boxes, several types of food, and a boatload of furniture. All this was being taken in the direction of a city located near the ocean's shoreline, to an outdoor cafe that would give a hole in the wall a bad name.

Only one small (if tasty-smelling) box remains to be taken from the apartments to said cafe. You're free to catch him anywhere along the way, with his hair neatly braided and sporting a spotless, ruffle-free apron. Mock at your own risk, drecks. ]

[Nods a bit, eventually closing his eyes over and sliding to fold up on his side on the couchthing.] ... mm.

[ Drops his face into Luke's mop of hair with a quiet sigh, tugging him away from the edge and closer to himself in the process. ]

[Grunts a bit, but settles against the other with some minor difficulty and falls silent.]

...do your wings still hurt?

I'm not really expecting them to stop.

Perhaps they will over time.

That'd be cool.

[ Brushes a hand over his lower back. ] You might hate me for it, but I like the idea of you having wings.

[Shrugs lightly.] They're a pretty good margin bigger than yours, and they're not nearly as pretty.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Luke. Yours saved you from ending up substantially more injured and that's what is important.

And I appreciate them for that, but given the slits in my back that produce them are always bleeding when they're present, the feathers are kind of sticky and matted and make me look like something out of a B-grade occult movie like Twilight...

[ Tilts his head to the side, questioning that last part. ] Nevertheless... I hope to have the chance of seeing them someday, preferably when they no longer cause you pain.

...if they'd stop bleeding I'd be happy with them, I guess.

I assume you've tried all the usual treatments-- gauze, gels, and the like?

They were gone when I woke up, and you saw the bandages I put over the cuts. I've pretty much just added painkillers as a part of my daily diet.

...the bandages that were in sore need of changing, yes. It's no wonder your damn back hurts after possibly landing in the dirt and getting banged up.

I cleaned them up, but it's hard to change bandages yourself.

No kidding. If the Reaper were here I would con his sorry ass into seeing about linking our fon slots so you would have no excuse for not asking for help.

...I would very much prefer you not inflict Dist on me.

[ Grins. ] And thus I have found the perfect threat for keeping you in line.

[Raises an eyebrow.] I'm not afraid of him. Or you.

I should hope you aren't afraid of me. [ Noses at his neck again. ] But Dist can ramble on for near an eternity. Worst torture imaginable.

You forget that I share an enjoyment of machines with him now.

[ Congratulations, Mechanic. You got him to make an 'omg ew' face. ] ...yes, I did somehow forget that fact.

[Snerk.] I'm not about to say I'm proud of having something in common with the frilly pain in the ass, but you better not be making that face at my profession.
