(no subject)

[Susanne looks tired and bit stressed. And no wonder, she's pretty lost and confused. What is this place? Where are her sons? Her husband? The servants?]

[After a moment she stops, breathing heavily and lowering herself carefully onto a bench. She clasps her hands together in her lap, trying not to worry but failing. She already feels ill, but she can't afford to be sick at a time like this. With her two boys off saving the world, and Herzorg and her brother working so hard for peace with Malkuth, it's absolutely shameful that she can't do more.]

[Just as soon as she catches her breath she'll figure out what's going on.]

((ooc: gfkjgkj Hello, new to the DR! Hope I'm doing it right. Have a canon!Susanne.))

[Asch will always be stiff-backed and awkward with his mother, never really meeting her eye fully, but the kind, warm, and loving gestures do wonders to relax him somewhat. He always felt the most at ease, from what he could remember of his life as Luke, when his mother was close by. He loved her dearly, and to hear her speak those words...

You are my son.

It was painful. Painful and sweet and wonderful and everything that he wanted for so long. Asch wanted to be her son, he wanted to go back to that life. He wanted to go back. But he couldn't...he believed they didn't want him, he believed they replaced him, he believed Van.

And he regretted it.]

Mother... [Asch shut his eyes, and leaned his face into her hand, blanketing it with one of his own.] A-All right.

She is obviously the strongest one.

[Susanne's words are like a double-edged sword for Asch. They hurt, yet comfort at the same time. It's a bittersweet taste, and he has and wants to say so much to her. He wants to curl his arms around him and accept that yes, he is her son - he is Luke fon Fabre, and he wants to come home at last, but he also wants to get upset with her. He wants to question why the guards kicked him out, why they abandoned and replaced him, and how they couldn't tell him and Luke apart. How could they?

But no. No, he wouldn't subject his dear and beloved mother to that. Because he realized that she loved him. Her words and actions had always been genuine, honest, and sincere. He was always loved by his mother, always. That was why he would go to the ends of Auldrant for her.]

...You need to sit again. [He takes her hand gently, leading her towards a shadier spot, out of the sun of early morning. Even if it was early, it was still hot this season.] Don't push yourself unnecessarily. Do you have anywhere to stay?

[Did she just arrive? He needed to care for her, but a hotel room wouldn't do well for a rich socialite like Lady Fabre. Plus, she needed a good physician to monitor her health. It seems like Asch has a few new goals.]

Her drops would be amazing.

[Poor Susanne. Half the reason why Asch was being so awkward was that he knew that, somehow, she might find out what happens to him in her future. He prayed that the news would come much later rather than anytime soon - never would be ideal - but Asch doesn't have his hopes high in this place. He just doesn't want her to grieve excessively. If she did, and became ill...without her medicine...

Asch's grip on his mother's hand tightened somewhat, though not enough to hurt her. Finding a nice, shady spot where Susanne could be cool and rest her feet, Asch set her down carefully. He didn't sit beside her though, not yet. He had to explain the situation to her.]

...Lost is one way to put it. Mother, I understand what I'm about to tell will sound unlike anything you've ever heard, but...I assure you it's all fact. [He glances away nervously, unable to meet her eyes. Asch doesn't want to be called absurd or insane by his own mother.] This place isn't Auldrant. I'm not sure exactly what or where this place is, but it's been defined to me as a 'nexus' - a place that brings people from differing times and variations of Auldrant into one place.

Because of that, it'd highly probable to see duplicates of some people... [He's seen tons of the replica, and even himself.] Some of which may or may not be immediately familiar.

BEST EVER.

[The moment Asch sees Susanne put a hand to her head, he's there to support her, kneeling down and putting a gentle hand on her arm. It's hard to mask the concern that surfaced onto his face in that instant, and already Asch regrets telling her everything at once. Asch hates this place for forcing itself and its insanity on his ailing mother, but at least there are more people here to care for her than assault her. That's one of the benefits, he admits.

He stays kneeling by he side, though his hand drops somewhat, as his eyes look away from hers. Up goes the mask, the wall, and he answers curtly, though vaguely.]

...Quite some time. I've encountered the r--...Luke many times. All varying. Natalia is here as well.

[He makes a face again. The last he's seen of Natalia, was when his inhibitions were tossed aside, and he kissed and promised to marry her...again. A promise he couldn't keep, as much as he hated admitting it.]

I demand fancy clothes for everyone. Asch needs a better costume, especially. >:\

[Happy to see him? Hmph, more like astounded, most of them. He was supposedly dead, after all, but that's a fact he'll keep to himself for as long as possible. There's no way he'd ever tell his mother that he ended up dying in her future. It would completely break her. Natalia alone had been difficult to console, but Susanne? ...No. He wouldn't do that to her. It was hard enough knowing she had to find out back home in Auldrant.

Asch makes a low noncommittal sound as he glances away absently. He never thought much of those people other than Natalia and Guy - even if the latter was so standoffish now. They were never his friends, just allies mostly, ones who shared a common goal half the time.]

As far as I know, Natalia has a room in the main hotel that's here. I have a room there myself. ...I can find a more suitable place for you to stay, mother, if that's necessary. Many things here are free of charge.
