[Asch smirks again, the corners of his lips pulling up in amusement. Why was it so terribly fun to tease Natalia? She was so...so cute when she was all huffy like this. He moves away from her after giving her a brief and affectionate little squeeze, going to inspect what she was working on out of curiosity.]

You're not the only one...I have to sleep with you. [But, before she gets too upset (gotta love mood swings)--] I guess I should be glad you're still you.

[Hm, an replica sanctuary, huh? Asch isn't sure how to feel about that. Of course he'll support the idea to its fullest, but that's all. He can never feel that he has any authority to assist in something like that, when he himself had hated his own replica for months, years on end. Even now, though their relationship was better, Asch still treat Luke like a pocket punching bag. At least the idiot was pulling his own weight with his own business.

Asch blushes on a little bit this time (he's getting better!), then just laughs at the last comment made by his wife. oh, the things he could say...but Asch will play it safe. He takes one of her hands, holding it up to his lips and kissing each finger in turn.

Who said Asch couldn't be romantic? Just so long as no one else was around...]

[Asch sighs, and leans his chin atop Natalia's head for a second. She had faith in him? ...Heh, she really was naive, but in a sweet and innocent kind of way. Asch felt somewhat honored to have such a caring and compassionate person for his wife, and soon to be mother of his child. He made a good choice in marrying her. And staying alive to marry her. He never thought he could have possibly...]

It's good that one of us did.

[His voice is quiet when he says that, and to break from that mood, Asch leads Natalia toward the patio. He'd really like her to sit down and rest her legs. He may even take a break himself for tea. The maids would surely provide anything.]

[Asch says nothing, masking his expression as he used to do so many times. Faith? ...Perhaps the tiniest bit, but Asch isn't so sure. He had faith that Natalia would rule kindly, honestly, and with compassion, but he didn't have any faith that he would be at her side. Asch can still remember how hard to tried to give that side of himself up. He never succeeded in that, either.

But--no. No, it doesn't matter. He's here now, he's alive now, and he's going to finish his legacy...this time with his precious princess. He nods to the maid to show that he wanted the same and, with a bow, the young lady hurried off to fulfill her king and queen's wishes.]
