How are you any better than the Score, if you're forcing people to live how you decide is best? [his tone is honestly curious, he's not accusing him of anything just yet]

Life dependant on the Score is no life at all. It's better for them to die to give rise to those who will use free will.

[tilts his head a little] ...I'm not sure what it is that I'm not quite understanding. How is it free will if you're not giving them any choice...? They're not making any decisions for themselves if you kill them because you think they're wrong, either.

No matter what I do, the originals will never be free from the Score and will never have a true will of their own.

Replicas, however, seem to have quite a will of their own.

I still don't see how killing them gives them any more--

They made their choice. By following the Score for over two thousand years, they chose their deaths.
