[snickers] Well beyond the crappy haircut, I didn't do anything problematic.

[smiles] Hair can grow back. He should be fine.

[nods] I kinda like it short, personally. [fidgets with the ends of his hair]

I imagine it would make it easier to see in battle.

[laughs] Seriously. I'm not sure why I ever thought it was a good idea to keep it long. ~~Probably because Mother liked it.~~

I like you're haircut it's...[tempted to say cute but,] It's very handsome.

[fidgets, and offers a sort of awkward smile] You know I had to get you to help me trim the ends of it. It looked retarded after the hackjob I gave it.

I guess so, giving yourself a haircut would be difficult after all.

Particularly with one of your knives. Dunno why I didn't think to use the sword on my back, but.

A sword would have been hard to use and you could have hurt yourself. Using one of my knives was definitely better.

[makes a face] Hey, I know how to use my sword. It's not like it's double-edged or anything.

[laughs softly] Of course.

[eyes her for a minute, folding his arms over his chest] ... You know I don't think I ever got the chance to properly thank you.

Me? Are you sure you should be thanking me instead of the Tear of your world?

[scuffs his shoe against the ground] Pretend I'm thanking you in place of yours, I think my Tear has heard more than enough from me.

Did, something happen between the two of you?

[frowns a little] You could say that.

...Do you mind telling me? I, understand if you don't want to talk about it.

[insert a long sigh here] I was here, a while ago. And I met this girl. ...when I got back to the Manor, I was convinced I'd dreamed all of it. ...So Tear and I were... not quite together, for a little while. [won't look at her] ...I just couldn't keep it up, I felt like I was replacing some figment of my imagination with her, and that wasn't fair.

I'm...not sure that's something I understand, but I do know that if there was anyone else on your mind...I wouldn't want you to be with me.

[looks distinctly distraught for about half a second before forcing a chuckle] Yeah, no kidding.

...Did I say something wrong?

[chuckles again, a bit more easily this time] Nah. It's just... kind of a sore subject, I guess.
