[asch is walking around again, wearing this dress (even though it's not really appropriate for a girl her age) as she tries to find her way around]

Does anybody know where I can get something to eat...?

Yeah, I can do that!

[smiles and steps back, holding the knife handle to her] Just be careful not to cut yourself.

Alright... I'll be careful. [takes it from him and carefully does as he showed her]

[watches her, making sure she doesn't hurt herself] Make sure they're small enough to eat.

Oh... Okay. I can do that.

Good, good. I'll get the rest ready while you do that.

[confident that she can manage without him watching, he gets the pot and fills it with water, setting it on the stove and preparing to boil the pasta]

[keeps cutting the meat while he does so, occasionally stopping to glance at what he's doing]

[once the pasta is set, he takes out a pan and fills it with oil] Give me the pieces you've finished cutting and I'll grill them.

Okay! [carefully brings the cutting board over to him]

[takes it from her and smiles] You've done an excellent job.

Now, I want you to stand back. The oil can be dangerous, I wouldn't like to see you hurt. [then he takes a few pieces of the chicken and drops them into the pan, using a spatula to occasionally turn them over, making sure they don't burn]

Did I ever tell you how I learned to cook?

[smiles when he compliments her, going to sit at the table once he starts cooking the chicken]

No, I don't think you did.

[smiles a little, keeping his eyes on the food]

My mother was the one to teach me. Every Remday, we would make dinner together. Eventually, I was able to learn how to do it on my own.

I still enjoy it.

...That sounds really nice.

It was. It's a shame you can't meet her now.

Perhaps next time I'll make you my favorite.

[and lala, suddenly! the meal is finished! as easy as pressing triangle! and he brings out a plate to her] Give it a moment to cool.

It looks really good! [looks it over while she waits for it to cool]

[smiles and sets down a fork] I had to improvise with the sauce a bit, so be sure to tell me what you think.

Okay! [gets some on the fork and blows on it, trying to cool it off]

[watches her, waiting for her reaction]

[finally decides that it's cool enough and puts the bite in her mouth, smiling up at him when she's done] It's good!

I'm glad you enjoy it. It's been a while since I've last cooked for someone other than myself.

You should do it more often... It's really good.
