[and here we have Luke. his hair's a little mussed, he's only about half conscious, and he's dressed like this. ...because the mun is a horrible, terrible person. ~~and yes, his hair has gotten longer.~~ feel free to be amused.] I wonder if the coffee maker in this place is any easier to operate...

Sorry, but you're not one to sit still for long periods of time.

[continues to frown, huffing quietly] Sitting still in battle leaves you a sitting duck. Why do you think Jade and Tear always told us to cover them when they were casting?

...Because a successful spell cast can have amazing results. There's not much defense against spells, and they can come in handy against multiple enemies. [pours the coffee into the mugs and hands one to you] I'll think of an arte to teach you that uses your blade then.

[pointedly takes the mug with his left hand-- you might find that he rarely takes anything with his right, anymore.] ...thanks. [frowns at it for a while before taking a sip, sort of huddled around the mug] Why're you so interested in teaching me fonic artes, anyway?

[shrugs] I never said I was. Just something to consider, that's all. [takes a sip out of his own cup.] Is it all right? [Asch likes his coffee a little bitter]

[nods, but he's not drinking it]

[catches himself, and hides behind his mug]

... [puts his mug down on the counter, coming over and placing a hand on your head]

[starts, moving away from the hand and offering a sort of startled smile]

[headtilt]

[shakes his head] Nothing. Nothing nothing nothing, you said something about artes? [sets his mug down and stands, hooking two fingers around the sleeve of Asch's shirt]

[doesn't look like he'll be moved by any distractions until he gets answers]

[laughs quietly]

[sighs] All right. What are you interested in learning? A spell or a sword arte?

[leans on him for a second]

I imagine I'll probably fare better with something sword-based, but you tell me.

...[ruffles your hair, you have him very concern now, but he won't pry on it anymore]

It's something you're already comfortable with. Are you willing to try something different?

[crooked grin] If you think I can handle it, then why the hell not?

hm...we'll keep it simple. Fireb-...no maybe not. [fireball probably shouldn't be the first spell to teach Luke] Stone blast should be a good starting spell for you.

[laughs] Afraid to give me firepower?

I don't trust you with fire, sorry.

Hell, I don't really trust me with fire, either. Roundabout or not, fire's what got me in a position to kill that guard on the Tartarus. [frowns at one of his palms for a moment]

So that's what happened...?

[blinks] ...I was screwing around with Mieu, and he spat fire on the guy's armor. Tear had put them all to sleep.

...oh. I wasn't there yet to see that.
