[shifts, looking away from him]

[frowns] What's wrong?

...I don't want to sleep in my bed.

Did you want to stay with me tonight?

[buries his face in Asch's shirt, not answering]

You can if you'd like.

...I want to...

Alright. [kisses the top of his head ~~fatherly~~ lightly] All you ever need to do is ask, Asch.

...You really don't mind?

I really don't mind.

...I'll try to ask when I want to, then.

Alright.

[snuggles] ...Will you carry me?

Of course.

...Good.

[rocks him a little] I'll carry you, and I'll stay with you the whole night. So you can get some rest. I don't want you to exhaust yourself.

...That would be nice...

Ran can sleep with us too, right? He likes sleeping with me.

Of course he can.

Good... I'd like that.

...I want to go now.

[picks him up as he stands] Sounds good to me.

[clings tightly as he's lifted]

[rocks him a little as he carries him to their room]

[relaxes into the rocking]

[gets into the room, still rocking him and hoping that this will have gotten Asch to drift off a little]

[has started to doze off by the time they get there, but still not quite asleep]
