[Luke hated it that his meeting with his brother had gone so sour after not seeing him for so long. He knew it was stupid to think that Asch would magically like him and accept him as a brother, but...the hope was still there. He supposed things like that wouldn't happen on their own, and that he was to make an effort as well. For now, Luke stands there thoughtfully, playing with what seems a locket, the only thing his mother could give him before the attack.]

...Asch. I have something for you.

[Anyone can come in and bother him though.]

I, I guess so... [ totally hurt ] I must do whatever it is you command.

Sounds fun. I get my own slave now.

[ resists the urge to object at being called a slave ] ...Is there anything I can do for you now, master? Your wish is my command.

Well, for starters, don't call me "Master". Luke is fine, since I'm not gonna really treat you like a slave.

As you wish, Luke. Is there anything else I can do for you?

Nope. Just drop the formalities and we'll be fine.

...Is that it?

Yeah, just act as you would normally. As long as you don't try to kill me or Guy, that is.

[Fiddles around with the locket, gazing down at it and thinking]

.... [ not used to this at all ] ....Should I clean your room?

[ watches him play with the locket ] That is...important to you?

...Actually, I haven't even found myself a place to live here yet. I've been busy just wandering around.

And yeah...very important. It's a locket that belonged to my mother, though I can't get it open. Actually, I haven't even tried...I'm too scared that I'll break it or something.

...Are you hungry?

Perhaps I could help? I have tools. And, I promise to be very gentle.

I don't think tools will be necessary...all you gotta do is open it gently. Again, I'm just too scared of messing up, it's the only thing I have from her.

Would you like anything to eat?

[ holds out her hand ] I can open it, if you wish. I promise I will not break it.

Maybe...later [Distracted at her suggestion]

[...Tiny precious locket in the hands of a murdersome robot. Luke can't help but feel uneasy, but he reluctantly gives it to her] I will destroy you myself if you break it, got it?

I understand. [ veeeeery carefully opens it, careful not to break it ] ...Here.

[Nevermind the fact that Luke was having a heart attack while she opened it...he shakily takes it back, opening it the rest of the way. Inside the locket there's a picture of Luke's father on the left, and himself and his brother as children on the other]

...What is inside?

[Looks up at her, eyes slightly brighter, and damper than before] Apparently, what mattered most to Mother while she was alive...

[ reaches out to stroke his hair ] ...Her family?

[Shows her the pictures] That's my father on the left...and that's me and my brother Asch when we were kids. [Notices how they're huggling, and seemingly happy] I guess we did get along at one point.

[ smiles a little at him ] Your mother must have cared for you quite a lot. [ strokes his head ] You do not get along with your brother?

[He feels a bit strange being comforted by a robot...but otherwise he doesn't pull away] No, we don't. I'm not sure why, but he seems to hate me.

[ pulls him into a gentle hug ] ...I am sorry.

It's...alright, I suppose. I must have done something I don't remember doing to him.
