[A very confused, feline-ish...thing enters the dressing room, ears perked as it looks around the new area]

Hey, don't do that! *scowls, taking her hand back.*

[stiffens, tail going straight up and fur bristling; scary human is scary]

...cut that out. I'm not going to hurt you.

[continues to give her the 'scardy-cat' look]

*sighs, reaching out to pet him gently.*

[that tactic always works and he relaxes, nuzzling her hand]

Hmm. *carefully scoops him up, smiling.*

[swishes his tail contently] Merow?

Too bad all Vans weren't like you. *scratches his head, taking a seat in oversized chair.*

[curls up in her lap, purring happily]

*continues scratching, moving behind his ears.*

[makes a very pleased purr and rubs up against her hand]

You're one bizarre cat. *strokes down his back, getting his shoulder blades.*

Mrow? [looks at him curiously]

At least you're cute.

[gives him a pleased look] Murrr-ow~

...do you understand what I'm saying?

Merow? [swishes his tail again]

Maybe not.

[hears twitch and looks away, did he hear something?]

Hmm? What's up?

[darts off suddenly, whether toward or away from the noise, one can't be sure]
