[follow the trail of blood to a new Asch. follow and realize this Asch is probably very close to death. he's beaten up, his limbs hanging awkwardly, and his breathing sounds odd. he's whispering something, but it's pretty garbled given his mouth is swollen and he seems to be missing a few teeth]

[looks up at him, just... wary]

[Guy ran the towel under warm water, raising it in front of the original as if asking permission] ...How are you feeling?

Like a psychotic asshole beat me nearly to death.

!? [It was surprising that the original had the energy to say that much. And well... Guy wasn't planning to question him just yet, but he supposed it wouldn't hurt to prod further since Asch brought it up first.] Who are you speaking of...? Is it... Van?

[snorts, giving him a Look]

[Well Guy felt helpless in interpreting that; but from what he'd seen of the conscious other thus far, he could conclude it wasn't the Asch whom he'd met the day before.] I'll just take that as a 'yes'.

[The blonde hadn't soon forgotten how much the Asch from his world enjoyed his personal space, but he figured it was worth a try to clean him up a little] Why would Van attack you?

Because I attacked him.

[Guy cringes, recalling the state he found Asch in. He doubted Van met the same fate]

But he needs you, doesn't he? [Places a glass of water on the nightstand beside Asch in case he needs it, but he wasn't too sure the other could grab it... Perhaps he'd just have to help him]

[Looks at him flatly]

....... [Okaaaay, well aparently this Asch wasn't quite as ready to talk as the other he'd met]

Well don't worry, Van's not going to find you here. And if he does, I won't even let him through the door. [Smiles]

[snorts, starting to shift to get up]

H-hey, don't push yourself! [Places a hand on his shoulder to stop him, not forcefully but not submissively either]

Go bug the dreck.

[Oh, was that what this was about?]

I'm not all that sure where the Luke I know is, but I'm pretty damn sure this is more important anyhow. Do you have a problem with it?

[glares at him] What the hell are you doing, anyway?

Making sure you don't die, for starters.

[snorts] Make your life complete if I did.

H-hey-... [Guy sighed. He deserved that. And he knew he was burying his own hole here, but he couldn't stop just yet with that nonsense in the original's head]

Do you honestly believe I still think that way after I dragged you in here?

And when I fall asleep?

I'll tuck you in, of course~

[hand instantly falls to his side, where his sword should be]

[Chuckles a bit] Come on, Asch, I was only kidding!

[Straightens himself up seriously] I promise you, I have no intention of ending your life.

[glaring, watching him warily]

This is the first time we've met. You have nothing to do with my past and I have no grudges against you. [Or maybe this Asch didn't know that yet?]

Anyways, you're still covered in blood. Would you like a change of clothing? [Well, Guy was covered in it now too, but he'd get to that later...]

[starts to get up, then crumples back down, weak and wracked with pain]
