[walking through the halls while looking at some documents. he stops after a while to yawn, rubbing his puffed and tired eyes. he's definitely been up for several days, researching something]

[ Coming from the opposite direction is Luke, doting on the kidlet in her arms until noticing the exhausted replica. ] Asch? You alright?

[looks up at her and the kid, smiling a little before nodding]

[ Returns the smile, coming over. ] You look tired.

[nods, gesturing to the papers in his hand, then fumbles for a blank sheet and a pen]

Oh! [ Digs through a pocket, pulling out a pen and handing it to him. ] I don't have any paper..

[uses the back of one of his papers. "I've been studying immune systems. Seeing if there's a way for the replicas not to become as sick as they do once they're made and-" stops, thumbing the pen. "-seeing if an illness replicated from the original can be cured."]

[ Reads over what's written, nodding slowly. ] Have you been able to find out the reason they end up sick in the first place? ...what kind of illness?

["They don't have the same immune system built that originals do. We're like little babies. Children get ill once the antibodies that the mother was sharing with them die. Once they encounter the pathogens themselves and build their own antibodies, they're fine. We replicas are like that. We have our originals immune system, but once it dies out and we encounter the same flu virus that wouldn't even dent our original's system-"

pauses, looking at the page, then writes shakily. "Terminal illnesses."]

[ Glances down at Aidan as he writes and pets his head. ] That makes a lot of sense, seeing as how we are babies at that point, just older-looking. Knowing that much is half the battle on it's own.

[ Stares at his shaking hands. ] ....who's sick like that..?

[Ion was walking around in the hallways, aimlessly. He's clearly bothered by something.]

[Lost in his thoughts from the nightmares he had, he accidentally bumps into him.

In a sheepish voice.]

[drops the papers, but reaches up to hold him instead, looking down at him quizzically]

[Ion rubs his eyes as he looks up. In a groggy tone.]

Do you know what time is it?

[takes his hand, writing on it. "After dark."]

[Ion blinks, confused at first until he figures he's spelling out letters. When he looks out the window, it is indeed dark.]

So it is.

[With a free hand, he cover his mouth to yawn. Then he looks at the papers on the floor.]

Oh, it seems you drop your papers. Let me help you.

[He bends down to pick them up.]
