[Down through the halls, and out the window, a song can be heard being played. It was being played on the piano, something that hasn't been heard in quite some time at ADR. The way it was being played, it sounded as if someone was at peace.]

Look, Asch, I'm not going to let you overwork yourself while I'm around! [ Still oblivious, he holds out a hand for Asch. ]

I'm not overworking myself! [he does reach out for that hand and continues walking past him]

Can't you let me help you for a change, dammit! [ Huffs, not letting Asch out of his sight. ]

[grumbles in a language Luke probably doesn't recognize or understand.] I can walk to a door-[...or not, his hand touching a wall. He curses and feels along the wall]

[ He slows to a stop behind Asch, halfway to grabbing his arm. ] ...? Where are you going?

Finding the door so I can leave.

But.. it's over there. [ Glances at the door then back to Asch. ]

Over to the-- ...shawhatta? What'd you call me?

[swears again, his hand finally finding the doorway and stomps into the hallway]

Hey! [ Trails along beside him. ] Asch! What's that mean?

[he's got his free hand against the wall]

I'm not an idiot! Just inexperienced! [ Tries to help Asch by the arm. ]

[he flails a little, trying to free his arm.] I said I do not need help!

Fine! [ Luke stops, his patience wearing thin. ] I never get any of you!

What part of, "I do not need help", do you not get? [his hand automatically returns to feeling the wall.]

You say one thing but you're fumbling along like you're lost!

I know my way around. It just takes some time.

Well there's something wrong with you, isn't there? It'd be stupid to not accept my help if you need it.

It's as clear as day what's wrong, but I dislike speaking like I do. I've walked the path to the front doors several times before, I can walk there again.

You needed me to tell you where the door was, didn't you-- [ Suddenly, it all clicks in his head. ] You're... you can't see. Is that it?

I never said that. [he waves his hand animatically] Oh bravo, you figured it out.

... [ This being Luke, he has to rush around in front of Asch and stop to wave a hand in his face just to test this new information out. Feel free to run into him? ]

[After going through this several times, he has a feeling Luke was probably in front of him, blocking his way. His walking stick finds him first, hitting him several times in the leg, his gaze never meeting Luke] Move.

[ Damn. You missed your chance to smack him upside the head, Asch. Luke stubbornly crosses his arms and remains there. ] Only if you let me help you!
