[Having been here for more than a month is starting to take a toll on Asch. Normally he has no problem staying calm and collected, provided that no one actually touches him or gets too close. But going this long without any real direction or anything to keep him grounded has proven difficult, and tonight is no exception. By this point he has gotten used to his dreams; although they aren't usually happy ones, he has no trouble distancing himself from the memories they so cruelly show off. Tonight, though, he has had an incredibly difficult time with it.

Which explains why, despite the fact that it's the middle of the night, he can be seen quietly leaving

scionofhispower's house, to go on a walk. He is very obviously distracted, yet at the same time he's very jumpy. As he's currently looking for some sort of distraction, he has no issues with talking to just about anyone who can keep him occupied.]

[Someone else is stalking around at night, namely a certain Jade...]

[His dark clothes blend in nicely with the night, save for the fact that his eyes are glowing slightly red. Oh, how perfect for a jumpy Asch~]

[He watches the other pass by. ... Has he spoken with this Asch before? Does he even want to?]

[Asch doesn't even notice Jade, continuing on his walk. As he passes by it's likely Jade can hear him talking to himself, although it's quiet enough that it's unlikely the words can be made out. Every single noise he hears makes him jump, interrupting his quiet monologue.

They may not have spoken before, but Asch actually has no issues talking to Jade, if he knew he was there.]

[Hm, how amusing... He does hear the mumbling, but can't quite make it out except for a few syllables.]

[Nocturne simply clears his throat to grab his attention. (And possibly spook him in the process. Silly sadistic necromancer...)]

[Asch whirls around when he hears the noise, his hand instantly going to his sword. But when he sees who it is he relaxes slightly, although he's still on edge.]

...Necromancer. What are you doing here?

[He's just sitting on a nearby rock, casually looking around and resting.]

Quite the same thing you are: enjoying the night... Unless that's not what's on your mind.

...I needed some fresh air. It's odd, being in that house all the time.

In the middle of the night? Hm...

I suppose Luke isn't the only one who gets nightmares... Which house would that be, anyway?

...Luke and Asch's. Luke offered me a room for now. [He's not going to say why, though; it's better to just pretend he's a guest...]

[Oh, Nocturne has his suspicions, here. After all, it's not odd for a replica to be drawn to other replicas--or their originals.]

I see. [He moved down from off the rock. His usual glasses were back in place, and he just wore casual clothing, though his hair was braided in the back. He offered a rather creepy-looking smile--not the usual jokester Jade smile.] Just how many of you are there? I'm beginning to think some machine is just spitting out Asches and Lukes by the second...

[Unless his suspicions include time travel and multiple versions of the same exact person, they're likely wrong in this case. As it is, though, Asch raises an eyebrow when he sees Jade's choice in clothing, as it's unlike what he normally sees him wear, but doesn't comment on it.]

I'm not sure how many there are. I haven't seen too many people.

[This is Jade. He likes to think Luke and Asch's fights are lover's quarrels.]

[He knows his clothing seems a bit odd, but it's oh-so-comfortable... Besides, Asch would have started asking questions if he saw his old outfit, which looked much like a God-General's.]

Mm. Well, now... Perhaps I should let you get back to your late-night wandering, hm? [And with that, he moved to sit back where he was.]

...You don't have to. I don't mind talking. [He looks a bit embarrassed as he moves a bit closer, shifting a bit awkwardly.]

[Lonely, was he? Poor dear.]

Now, an Asch that actually doesn't mind talking to me? I must say I'm surprised...

It's not my fault you're the smartest of their little group! Sometimes I think you're the only one around who's capable of actually thinking.

Such compliments... Though I'm not sure if you know this, but flattery gets you nowhere with me.

But, really, to put yourself down as such... Surely you can muster up a thought or two. [Jade will always be Jade...]

I meant in the replica's group. Both of us are capable of thinking, but we don't travel with you most of the time.

And I'm not trying to flatter you; it's just the truth.

[He crossed his legs, smiling slowly.] Luke is more intelligent than he lets on, though ignorance plays a crucial factor in his behaviors...

[He just chuckles and pulls a few berries--blueberries--from the small pouch at his waist to snack on.] Guy... I haven't seen hide nor hair of him. I assume he's here...

... Care for a bite? You can sit down, you know.

...I've seen one since I've arrived, although he's nothing like the one I know.

I'm not sure I trust food from you. [He goes to sit near him, though.]

... Mm. I probably wouldn't be like the Jade you know, either...

Oh, they're just plain blueberries. It's not like I added anything too terribly nasty to them. [He doesn't mind this Asch so much, especially since he's being rather civil and almost friendly. Almost.]
