[Watch out, ADR, the crossover Luke is out and about again. It took some sleepless nights (not like he really needs sleep anyway), but he managed to get his new lab up to his satisfaction. It wasn't perfect, as there were still many things in his master's lab in Las Noches that he just could not acquire here.]

[But it didn't matter; without his master here, he was free to explore and experiment as he wished... but first he needed some specimens. The thought brought a wicked little smirk to his face, wondering what exciting kind of creature he could drag off...]

[Comes to a stop half way through drawing blood, his hand shaking slightly. He recovered quickly, finishing that vial and going for one last one.]

[He turns to look again once he's done, still unsure as to what exactly he's doing with all of this.]

[He set the vials on a vibrating platform so the blood would not coagulate, before taking a cup and filling it with water from the tap. He turned again, giving it to Asch and helping him off of the table and leading him further inside.]

There is a place to rest here. Drink and rest. I will wake you in a few hours.

I'm not sleeping... But resting is alright, for now. [He carefully follows Luke, not quite sure where he's being led but not objecting at the moment.]

[Relax, it's just a recovery room that Luke has taken to use as his own room on the rare occasion when he sleeps. He motioned Asch to rest, before going back to the lab to work.]

[Relaxing isn't really the first thing on Asch's mind at the moment, but he does sit on the bed to wait. And, despite his objections, he does fall asleep after a bit; he hasn't been sleeping well, so being here with nothing else to do was actually rather relaxing.]

[As promised, Luke returned a few hours later. He paused a moment at the door, a bit of a fond smile coming to his face at the sight before him, before he went in and gently shook Asch awake.]

[Asch flinches away from the touch, blinking himself awake and looking up at Luke.]

...You're back.

[Looks slightly amused by that statement.]

I must ask a very important question. Is your replica here?

Allow me to explain a simple theory of the universe.

[Luke settled down on the bed beside Asch, though he did not look at him.]

'No two things that are exactly the same can occupy the same space'. When 'Asch' and 'Luke' became two separate people they were made to be exactly the same. A pure accident, if I recall one of Jade's conversations with Dist, but it still occurred. As such, they occupy the same 'space', and are vying with one another for command of that space.

Theoretically speaking. Your body is still going through dissonance, because you are still 'incomplete'. If you live through the process, you will be fine.
