[For once, this hermit isn't selling weird things for his lemonade stand. Somewhere in the quieter places of the dressingroom, where the possibility of population is hopefully zero, there's a Colonel. He was sitting in the middle of the field, staring out to space. It seems he has no interests in anything, but the area before him.

Actually, he was staring at the rows of pumpkins in the field. And maybe a crow or two.]

Hopefully, this spot is more quieter and peaceful. Everywhere else is just noisey.

[He closed his notebook, returning it to its place on his belt as he turned to the Necromancer fully, a bit of a smile touching his face.]

I seen nonhuman beings in many places and in many worlds. Many of them has powers beyond the imagination.

My master is a genius scientist and made it so, so as to protect me from the Arrancar of Las Noches that objected to my presence.

[He's listening while contemplating the pumpkins. Man, they looks so orange and huge.]

And how did you end up in that predicament in the first place? [Because he knows his special science son always gets himself into trouble without using his head.]

...after my death, my soul somehow ended up on Earth. My master revived me in Las Noches.

That's one thing you and I have in common. I'm always curious in what happens to a soul after death.

[Oh boy; text book time.]

It's not very well known to humans until they themselves die. When an individual dies, their soul is set free from their body. Usually a Shinigami will come and send them to the Soul Society where they may rest until it is time for them to be reborn. However, if a soul is left to wander, there is a possibility they may become corrupted, and turn into a Hollow.

[Raises an eyebrow as he's starting to get idea in what kind of being Luke is.]

And may I ask what's a hollow?

It is a general term for a corrupted spirit, but really it is one of the lower forms of such. They are creatures whose bone masks cover their entire faces, so as to protect their bare emotions and instincts from the outside world.

Those that have become Arrancar, such as myself, have removed the majority of their masks, as they no longer need that protection.

Ah, I see.

[He dazed out a bit, trying to recall a memory deep from his subconscious.

[He moved about from row to row, inspecting the pumpkins.]

I pretty much alive last I checked.

Maybe the concept of rebirth is new to me. I always thought once everyone is dead, they become nothing.

Most certainly not. There is always something more. More to research, more life to live...

Well, that answers my question about the mysteries of life, death, and rebirth.

[Picks up a pumpkin and inspect it.]
