[Something's not quite right here, so naturally, it really must be wrong. After all, who just leaves a scrumptious looking triple layer cake with butter cream frosting just sitting on a table in the middle of a street? Certainly not a dorky not-quite-alive replica on the look out for specimens that honestly thinks humans are dumb enough to fall for this. Nope, not at all.]

[Time to try and abort. The demon grabbed his shirt and pulled him back away from the dimensional tear, moving then to close and seal it back up before assisting the boy with his strange fire problem. Hopefully it wasn't along the lines of some holy power, otherwise they'd both be in trouble.]

[Luke fell back onto the ground, screaming in agony as he landed on his back. Fire started pouring out of the void in his chest, crawling down along his body...]

[Anise swears she's never had so many problems before with a contract. Looking at the enchanted paper he signed, she sighed. This was going to hurt a lot but it was the only other thing she could think of that may help him out...

If this was the problem though.

There was only one way to find out.

With a quick swipe, the paper was cut in half, releasing the boy's human half. She winched in pain as she did so, but it was something she would have had to do regardless since she couldn't fulfill his wish do to the...complication.

The demon watched and waited, she supposed if that didn't help she could always do something more drastic.]

[Luke's screams died down to a whimper as the fires slowly faded, the void in his chest stitching itself closed as his humanity reformed itself. As everything calmed, he was left near motionless on the ground, his body trembling from exhaustion.]

[She looked relieved that he was doing better, the devil knelt beside him, gently pushing her hair out of his face. A frown formed on her lips as she gazed down at him.]

It seems your humanity was a bit more essential than we first though...Shall I take you somewhere quiet to rest?

[Luke hesitantly opened his eyes, clearly afraid to move even that much.]

I-I don't believe it wise to move me right now...

Where are you hurt then, is there anything I can do to help?

[Since her helping out seems to working out amazingly well so far.]

E-everything hurts...

[She sighed softly, this was her fault, she should at least offer up something that may be able to help him.]

My blood may be able to help heal you, do you want to take the risk that it may have to opposite effect?

[Humans befitted but she didn't know what would help with an arrancar.]

[Luke let out a shuddering breath.]

I'll heal on my own eventually; best not to chance it.

[The girl nodded her head, staying next to him to keep him company.]

You'll be okay then?

[Luke closed his eyes.]

...well enough. Eventually.

Do you mind if I stay by your side until you're well again?

[Luke peered up at her, offering a faint smile.]

Sure.

[She returned him smile, at least he didn't seem too mad at her.]

I'll make sure to take care of you then.
