[ Asch's attention switches back from the cage to Luke with an eyebrow quirked. ]

When I was reborn, being able to perceive sound was causing a cataclysmic backlash. In other words, without something to filter the Seventh Fonon, I could have crushed both Hueco Mundo, the human world, and Soul Society without even knowing it. Szayel Aporro-sama cut off my hearing to prevent that from happening.

[ Asch thinks he's being rather generous to bite back a snippy remark about Szayel, and simply nods. It made sense that Lorelei's power had to be curbed somehow in a foreign world. Not that that means he has to like it. ]

You certainly would have been homeless at that point.

[Luke snorted at that, nuzzling against his back fondly.]

It's an interesting concept, your ability to change forms at will. I have to wonder if it similar or related to the way fonon sentiences have control over their manifested body.

I'm not quite sure. "Resurrección" means "to revive"... for arrancar, it is to revive the form that was suppressed when they obtained their new powers.

[Luke trailed off, growing very quiet for a long moment.]

I'm not quite sure what it means for me though. I was never a Hollow, and I was not created by normal means, both on Hueco Mundo and on Auldrant. For all intents and purposes, it shouldn't even work.

...I can only assume it means that you are cut off from the source of your power. In this case, your ability to channel Lorelei's power is curbed in your sealed state.

[ Up came a hand to his forehead in an attempt to ward off an impending headache. ]

Though there's no telling how Lorelei's influence affects things even in our own world, let alone a foreign one without the Score. We can't even know for certain if any physical rules come into play.

I don't know either... [He smirked against Asch's back.] I don't even think master knows. I'm one big mystery to everyone.

[ Asch scoffed, wings thumping Luke lightly on either side of his head. ]

Hmph. I always knew you enjoyed being a pain in the ass. You were, and are, too good at it.

[Luke chuckled, his tone playful.]

[ Asch's mouth opens and closes once, twice, before fixing into a frown. ]

I feel fairly certain of my safety while in public.

[He nuzzled against his neck, lips brushing against his ear.]
