Oh god voice testing
[It was hard getting used to life as nobility again. Guy kept finding himself doing things - getting the groceries, making himself meals, even cleaning - things that the maids would usually do for a count. He knew he was probably looked down on it, and that Peony was encouraging him to hire some maids (which tended to present its own problems), but... it felt too weird, going from the one serving others to the one being served.
As such, he's done a little grocery shopping of his own today. He's a bit preoccupied looking down at said groceries, making sure he's got everything.
And then he looks up.]
Oh man, now where am I?
[It takes him less than half a second that none of the buildings here look like those in Grand Chokmah. He looks behind him, back the way he came from. Nothing there. And so he wanders, looking for some sign of how to get home. Holding a bag of groceries he really will need to put down sometime...]

[He smiles, because hey, what's one little setback? And instead of dwelling on it further, he tugs on his jacket a bit, then turns so that his back is facing Guy, and pulls his jacket down to his elbows to let his wings show. They're small and the color of his hair, though a little lighter thanks to their time in the sun, and fade to blond at the ends, just like his hair from back then. They twitch slightly under the attention, and Luke glances over his shoulder to smile sheepishly.]
They're wings.

For a moment he briefly glances over his own shoulders, just to check and make sure he doesn't have wings of his own.
No, nothing that he could see. That being done, he immediately turns his attention back to Luke.]
They look pretty good. [And in a way, they do sort of suit Luke, in color at the very least.] Bit of an interesting fashion statement though.
[If they're even a "fashion statement" at all. Luke was eccentric with his tastes but this was going a little overboard, even for him.]
no subject
They're not a fashion statement! You think I want them there?
no subject
How did they get there, then?
[He's got a feeling he's not going to like the answer]

They were attached to me when I was brought to Luceti... Another world. I can't just get them off, though; If they get cut off, then... I'd end up dying.
no subject
... was this another world?]
Who exactly is doing this, and why?
[He's scowling, though it's not Luke he's mad at. Who would be idiot enough to give that much of a weak spot to someone, and for what purpose? And why the hell was Luke brought to another world?]

They're called the Malnosso. They're doing it to... experiment on us. They want to get back to their home, so... they're using us to find a way out. [That's what he gathered, anyway.]
The problem is, a lot of experiments are just... cruel. And sometimes I can't even get the point of them... and the war...
[He has to stop there. The drafts bring back bad memories.]
1/2
Oh no, he's not happy at all.]
no subject
Still... damn Luke he left you alone for a month...]
Man, and here I thought we'd taken care of everything... When did this happen?
[In addition, Luke will probably notice Guy's hand on his shoulder now, giving it a comforting squeeze. He can and will hug you again if you need it.]
no subject
Luke has to pause and frown slightly, too, because Luceti's calendar just works so differently from Auldrant's. He'd been in Luceti for... how long? A little more than a year? So, in Auldrant time, that's...]
Six or seven months ago...?
no subject
Luke, I only saw you a month ago.
[Not that he disbelieves you. He expects you've got an explanation for that too, and he's not going to like it any more than anything already has. Six to seven months... Luke's been stuck for half a year in this place?]
no subject
[He knows it's hard to believe. He knows it, and yet he still feels frustrated over it. How else is he supposed to explain and make it believable? It is real!]
Look, time passes by differently there! While I'm there, Auldrant kind of... stops for a while. So when I get back, it'll be like nothing happened to me.
