((OOC: Putting this first so it makes sense. Jade is meeting Guy after planning with Asch here and here. We don't have a specific Guy per say so if you want to step up feel free, more than one would be fabulous actually, and also just because Jade is on his way to meet someone, feel free to hold him up~ The two are also looking for fonists so if you want to be a part of that too, feel free, this can be largely hand-waved, and this post is just for if someone did want to play part of it out.))

[It was early in the day, and Jade was already up and moving quickly along. The eventual goal was the inn, but Jade had also needed to take care of his shopping, stop by the cafe for some food, and of course study more at the library, so it was quite clear he wasn't making the inn first priority, especially since there were so many people to talk to. He'd been thinking hard on the prototype schematics for the fontech he had found and was fairly sure the design was solid enough to keep anyone from dying via fonon-separation. While it was amusing to play with Asch on it seeming risky, this was serious business because he was not interested in sacrificing people for any reason.

At the end of the day though, Jade did have a contingency plan in case things went awry, and it was something he hadn't even discussed with Anise because he knew it wouldn't be well-received.]

[Something still felt wrong, but what exactly was it. Obviously everything that he was doing. Going back, well it just happens. But if they had important things going on she completely understood...But what else was feeling off...

[Which wasn't a good thing in this case. Usually it was though; she could tell what he needed without it having to be expressly said.

Yet, there were of course times like these in which it reminded him that letting someone too close made it harder to lie to them.]

Anise, I'd argue that I'm always up to no good~ I suppose in this case it would be what may need to be done if an unwanted reaction occurs. It can be stabilized, thankfully.

And just how do you plan on going about that Colonel?

[Of course she pays attention, if she didn't and missed important things like this she would have been in deep trouble or a goner by now.

Don't make her ask Asch, you know she will and it won't be pretty.

[Jade flashed a winning smile, taking one of her hands in his.]

I can promise you that no one will be harmed. I couldn't bear it if something happened to you. I also wouldn't want anything to happen to anyone else involved, Anise.

[He gave a small pull, indicating he wanted her closer. While he was sure this wouldn't placate her, he didn't want her to worry. While he had fought tooth and nail for her back home, if she couldn't return there; it wouldn't matter much what they did here.]

[Anise looked very unsure as he flashed a smile and pulled her closer. Something was still off, she could feel it.]

And just how do you plan on guaranteeing that?

[He leaned, pressing a quick and chaste kiss to her lips.]

I do want to make sure everyone is safe. We're going to do physicals on everyone, and we're developing a machine to help stabilize the fonons, as well as dispel them if something goes wrong.

You shouldn't worry so.

[She continued pouting at him , even after he tried to reassure her with a kiss.]

[Pulling over a notebook, he also took the opportunity to pull her around to his front and guide her hips onto his lap, resting his chin on her shoulder. The notebook had a lot notes for the formulae he was looking into and checking for the protection field and the safest rate he could use it with which to dispel fonons without hurting the replicas that might be present.]

[A soft blush colored her cheeks, barely noticeable unless one was really looking. While she didn't know how to grill the Colonel, he happened to know just what to say and do to placate her. Refocusing herself, she studied what he had come up with carefully, trying to see what areas could be improved.]

Would you explain the exact situation you hope to create?

[He took a moment to think. While he had still been considering this aspect of things, he'd been very heavily focused on what he was keeping from her.

That and he suspected this experiment was going to take enough fonons to keep Grand Chokmah afloat for a month all told, between the fonons gathered to try to open the way, power the fon machines, and then try to use more to scatter the mass if things go awry.]

I believe the best intend is a fonic barrier that will repel the gathered fonons, rather like a containment field so that the seventh fonons that will inevitably be acquired won't attract the seventh fonons of the various replicas present, which will lead to fonon decay and separation. Things to avoid if we're to believe Asch~

[A joke, but Jade was deathly serious in making sure they weren't throwing their lives away, intentionally or not.]

We also need to be able to acquire a secondary, smallwe mass of fonons and alter their vibration to one that will quickly disperse the primary mass in case something goes wrong~

[Simple, yes?]

[After a few minutes of adsorbing this information Anise snapped her fingers, smiling brightly as she turned to Jade.]

We need to find the Key of Lorelei! Surely that would help and make things considerably less dangerous and more manageable, right? And since Asch is in on this it should be even easier!

[He certainly didn't, which was part of the reason why he hadn't spent much time looking for it yet.]
