I was working on some fonon research, particularly how to go about without the Planet Storm, when he... found me. He was severely wounded, supposedly from his "death" and... begged me to sin again. [He turned away, closing his eyes.] I was able to preserve the replica's memories... but he died not long after, and it sparked a war between Kimlasca and Malkuth once again...

Peony... He died because of my foolish actions. I... couldn't save one person. Not one... [He hated explaining this to so many people... but it was a sign he trusted Anise.]

[I THINK I LOVE YOU NOW. You did such a good job~ I can't believe you found those icons!]

The Score on my Auldrant couldn't be changed. I hate to say, but Van was right... and also died in vain. I've come to understand quite a few things about how the planet works, though now I'm not so sure they apply to anyone else's. ... I'm all right, Anise. The people I know are here: you, Luke, Peony... For the first time, I'm happy. It's just... jarring... to end up here and have to let go of my past so quickly.

[And she smiles a little when he strokes her hair like that. She thinks that this kind of affection will probably be a one-time thing, so she'll take what she can from Jade for the moment.]
