[Watch out, ADR, the crossover Luke is out and about again. It took some sleepless nights (not like he really needs sleep anyway), but he managed to get his new lab up to his satisfaction. It wasn't perfect, as there were still many things in his master's lab in Las Noches that he just could not acquire here.]

[But it didn't matter; without his master here, he was free to explore and experiment as he wished... but first he needed some specimens. The thought brought a wicked little smirk to his face, wondering what exciting kind of creature he could drag off...]

After the first confrontation with Van, I obtained the Jewel via the contamination effect, while you obtained the Sword. It was during an event at the Tower of Rem that the Jewel was revealed, and sent my body into dissonance, triggering the Big Bang effect in your own body.

...Even without that, it's still happening. Maybe not as fast, but I'm still dying. Guy wants to help, but I think even he knows it's pointless.

[He could remember decending to the core with Asch... he could remember just fading away as it felt like the world exploded around him... and then everything exploded again when his master returned life to him. What had Asch felt, already being dead? He would probably never know; his Asch, his Auldrant... all of that was lost to him.]

...Thank you. [He doesn't really know what to think; he's so used to being used that the thought of someone actually doing something nice for no reason is completely foreign to him. But, even if Luke wanted something out of him, it was worth it; he wasn't ready to die, no matter what Master Van said.]

[Luke turned swiftly on his heal, starting down the street.]

To my lab. We will start immediately.

[Comes to his lab, and holds the door open for Asch.]

...Fine. [It takes him a moment to calm himself, but he goes and sits like asked, waiting quietly.]

[Goes over to a counter and starts putting away his scalpels. He won't be using them on this specimen.]

[Asch doesn't respond, instead intently focused on keeping himself calm. After a few moments, though, he slowly begins to take off his tabard and shirt, silent.]

[Luke replaces the instruments of sharp pointy death with something more likely found at a doctor's office. A stethoscope, needles, and various other tools come out. Luke turns back to him after a moment, resting his note book on the table beside him, and wordlessly starting to measure his heartbeat and lung capacity, scribbling notes rapidly.]

[...just don't look down at the restraints on the table, and you'll be fine, Asch.]

[...Yeah, it's best if he doesn't see those restraints. For now, though, he's staying silent, with his eyes closed and head bowed so he doesn't have to watch him. He's having trouble keeping himself calm, but is doing the best he can in this situation.]
